In crises and disasters around the world, Caritas is at the side of the weakest and provides help on the ground. This is also the case in the war in Ukraine.

Although the situation is still very unclear, even for humanitarian aid workers, Caritas Ukraine has been preparing for the event of war for weeks and can now act quickly and in a targeted manner. Across the country, around 1,000 Caritas staff and many volunteers are working in 34 Caritas centres, providing day and night survival aid to war-affected people and refugees. Caritas international supports the emergency aid of our Ukrainian colleagues.
